Information

  • Kindly RSVP by April 11, 2026.

  • Given the travel time to Gerolimenas, we encourage international guests to arrive in Greece at least one day prior, allowing for a relaxed journey and hotel check-in the following afternoon.

  • Kyrimai Hotel is located in Gerolimenas, in the heart of the Mani Peninsula. While the journey takes some time, it is exceptionally scenic, and we encourage guests to turn the drive into part of the experience.

    Closest Airports

    • Athens International Airport (ATH) is Greece’s primary international hub and the best option for guests traveling from outside Europe, with extensive worldwide connections. The drive from Athens to Gerolimenas is approximately 3.5-4 hours by car.

    • Kalamata International Airport (KLX) is a convenient option for guests traveling within Europe, offering seasonal and regional flights and a shorter drive to Gerolimenas of approximately 2–2.5 hours by car.

From either airport, we recommend renting a car, as public transportation in Mani is limited and having a vehicle allows you to explore the region at your own pace.

  • From Athens International Airport (ATH)

Rent a car directly at the airport. Drive southwest via the A7 motorway toward Tripoli. Continue south toward Sparta, crossing the Taygetos Mountains, then follow signs for Areopoli, Limeni, and Gerolimenas. Total driving time is approximately 3.5–4 hours.

This scenic route winds through dramatic landscapes and ancient sites, with just a few of many highlights including the ancient ruins of Corinth and Sparta, the Corinth Canal, and the Taygetos Mountains, making the journey itself part of the experience.

    From Kalamata International Airport (KLX)

Rent a car at the airport. Drive south toward the Mani Peninsula, passing through Areopoli, then continue along the coastal road via Limeni to Gerolimenas. Total driving time is approximately 2–2.5 hours.

This drive is particularly picturesque, with coastal views, charming stone villages, and the deep blue of the Mediterranean. Two of our favorite coastal villages to stop for lunch along the way include Kardamyli and Limeni. In Kardamyili, we recommend Tikla Cuisina & Wine Bar, or for a more local experience, copy and paste the following restaurant into Google Maps: ΨΑΡΑΣ Χοτανινέας Ευάγγελος Εστιατόριο Καρδαμύλη. In Limeni, we suggest both Kourmas and Takis restaurants.

All wedding festivities will be hosted at Kyrimai Hotel. For navigation, we recommend entering “Kyrimai Hotel, Gerolimenas” into Google Maps.

  • Greece does not consistently require an International Driving Permit for short-term visitors; however, some car rental agencies may request one, particularly for licenses issued outside the EU. Guests travelling with EU or UK licenses do not require an International Driving Permit. Guests travelling from non-EU countries may wish to obtain one prior to travel for ease and peace of mind. We recommend confirming requirements directly with your car rental provider.

For guests travelling from the United States, International Driving Permits may be obtained through the following official organizations:

    American Automobile Association (AAA)
    https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html

    American Automobile Touring Alliance (AATA)
    https://www.aataidp.com

These are the organizations authorized to issue International Driving Permits in the United States. Permits are typically inexpensive, valid for one year, and easy to obtain, but must be applied for and mailed in advance; we recommend applying at least 2–4 weeks prior to travel to allow sufficient processing and mailing time.

  • Accommodations have been reserved for our guests. Booking details will be shared once we receive your RSVP. There is no need to take any action at this time. Please note that room availability and room categories are subject to first-come, first-served allocation.

  • While we adore your little ones, we kindly request that our wedding be an adults-only celebration. Exceptions will be made for infants and children participating in the wedding party.

  • Early October in Gerolimenas is typically warm and sunny with low humidity. Daytime temperatures average 72–78°F (22–26°C), while evenings along the water are cooler with gentle sea breezes, averaging 60–65°F (16–18°C). Rain is uncommon, and the sea remains warm from summer. Guests may wish to bring a layer for the evening.

  • Attire details for each wedding event will be posted in the coming weeks.

  • Set directly on the sea, our celebration will flow between indoor and outdoor spaces along the water.

  • We kindly ask that you notify us in advance of any dietary requirements or allergies so they may be accommodated.

  • Your presence at our celebration is more than enough, and we are so grateful to share this time with you. Should you wish to give a gift, details may be found under the Registry tab at the top of the website.
